Acting Workshops in London. Actor coaching for
professional actors, those interested in acting & beginners

Acting Workshops London

Be the Actor Within offers the only truly bespoke acting workshops in London.

In our acting workshops we are proud of our belief that there is no one size fits all acting technique. Every individual actor is unique and the training, teaching and tools required must reflect that.

Having attended many drama schools, acting workshops and classes in the past we’ve witnessed so much talent being allowed to simply disappear due to a lack of knowledge, experience and understanding of the craft of the actor.

We coach our acting class students to give each individual the training and tools they require to bring from within the very best actor they can be. We truly believe in the work of ensemble acting whilst giving the attention required to bring out the talent in every member of our class.

Method Acting

Acting Coach

Method acting is a technique where an actor aspires to complete emotional identification with a part, based on the system evolved by Stanislavsky and brought into prominence in the USA in the 1930s. Method acting was developed by Elia Kazan and Lee Strasberg in particular and is associated with actors such as Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp, Daniel Day- Lewis, Anne Hathaway, Robert De Niro, Jack Nicholson, Marilyn Monroe and Dustin Hoffman.

Eric Morris

London Acting Coach

Be the Actor Within’s main inspiration is the great American method acting teacher Eric Morris. Eric’s contribution to method acting has been two fold. Firstly, he worked for many years on an instrumental process which deals directly with allowing the actor to truly be themselves. Secondly, Eric constructed and simplified a craftual approach to acting – something which had until then been non existent.
